Who is eligible for food assistance?

Anyone who needs food is welcome to shop for free groceries at GVFB. There are no income requirements to come and shop at GVFB. We encourage using the food bank as a budgeting tool and putting your saved food costs towards housing and other expenses.

Senior Groceries has age & income requirements. Our childhood nutrition programs are for school-age children and there are no income requirements (including Kids Summer Lunch).

When are you open?

Our food assistance hours are:

Monday 1-4pm
Tuesday 1-4pm, 5-7pm
Friday 9am-12pm

Our Belgrade Mobile Distribution operates every 2nd and 4th Monday from 5-6 pm at Peace Lutheran Church. Note that this schedule is subject to change due to holidays. Check our calendar for the most accurate schedule.

Do you deliver food boxes?

We have limited resources but occasionally we do deliver to homebound customers and to people with transportation challenges. If you are experiencing the latter, first check if a family member, friend, neighbor, or caseworker can pick up on your behalf.  We can even assemble a food box for pick-up outside of our food assistance hours if needed. If you have exhausted all options and need a delivery, we ask for 48 hours notice to schedule.

Can someone else pick up a food box for me?

Yes, we just need to know these pieces of information: Your first and last name, DOB, last 4 of your SSN, and how many people are in your family.
