Senior Groceries (also known as Commodities) are foods distributed to seniors each month. GVFB administers this federal program in Gallatin, Park, and Madison Counties. This program improves the health of low-income persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods. Each month qualified seniors will receive shelf-stable canned fruits, vegetables, juice, dairy, proteins, and grains. In order to participate an individual must be 60 or older and meet an income threshold. ($1,632 for a household of one, $2,215 for a household of 2, etc.)
You can receive Senior Groceries AND a food box each month. Senior groceries are available monthly for pick-up or delivery.
