Wear Orange Wednesday
April 10, 2019
We would like every member of every community to participate in Wear Orange Wednesday! The event is an opportunity to be creative, and to show that Montanans stand united in the fight against childhood hunger. Hats, gloves, socks, shirts, nail polish, ties, shoes, suspenders – if you have it in orange, we want to see it! Orange represents child hunger awareness, and by wearing this color collectively on the same day we can bring awareness to the challenges that food insecure children in Montana face. Currently, 1 out of 6 Montana children are food insecure, meaning that they aren’t sure where they’re next meal will come from. In addition to hindering a child’s ability to learn in school and dream about their future, hunger can also cause kids to develop poor habits and health issues that may affect success in adulthood. https://mt.nokidhungry.org/awareness-resources
