Farmers to Families Food Box Distribution

October 22 @ 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm

As part of the Coronavirus Farm Assistance Program, the USDA is exercising authority under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act to purchase and distribute agricultural products to those in need. Through this program, USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is partnering with national, regional and local suppliers, whose workforce has been significantly impacted by the closure of restaurants, hotels, and other foodservice businesses, to purchase up to $3 billion in fresh produce.
Gallatin Valley Food Bank will distribute perishable food boxes on Thursday, October 22nd as part of the Farmers Feeding Families Program. The combination of boxes weigh 29 lbs and will contain fresh produce, meat, and dairy. The distribution will run from 2:45pm-4pm (or until boxes run out) in Peace Lutheran’s Parking Lot. All are welcome.
